More Rebelle Stuff... yay

Well, I wasn't expecting this, but, I'm not surprised that it has happened. Toys R Us have gotten their own exclusive Rebelle blaster and it's shiny.

Exclusive blasters are nothing new, USA Target, Aus Target (the two are not associated), Walmart (USA retailer), Toys R Us and Big W (Australian retailer) all get their exclusive blasters.

My Last Dart first reported about the Powerbelle thanks to a tip from Robert Stone. Nothing special here, it's just a Speedswarm repaint. Some are questioning the range of this blaster after the lack luster performance from the original Speedswarm, however, the blue trigger version performs quite well, so I'm not concerned about it's performance.

It's selling for as close to USD30 as to not make any difference. Product description is as follows:

Who says you can't look fabulous while you launch a powerful motorized attack? Arm yourself with the show-stopping power of the Powerbelle blaster! This motorized blaster can hurl the ten collectible darts at targets up to 75 feet away. Its easy, precise firing will make you smooth and confident in the battle. Load up your blaster and put extra darts (sold separately) in the dart bag, then sling it over your shoulder on the bandolier strap. You can team up with a friend or go it alone, but either way you're armed for fun with the Powerbelle blaster! Nerf and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

And Toys R Us now have the Golden Edge Bow, that looks like it belongs in the hands of an Olympian Goddess.

Selling for USD24.99, in my opinion, it's too much for a single shot blaster if you ask me, but, fans of shiny things will like it.

Product description goes:

You're the guardian angel when you take aim with the Nerf Rebelle Golden Edge Bow! Load your rapid-firing crossbow and watch the golden wings on its bow arms flex as it fires darts up to 75 feet. Just pull the string back to flex your angelic wings. When the green indicator shows, release the string to launch your Golden Edge dart at the included target with pose and power! Keep track of your darts in the removable dart storage accessory. You'll get fast-flying dart action and quick, bold blasting with the Golden Edge bow!

Now, completionists are thinking, "oh crap, now I've got to buy another one", but I'm not burdened with being a completionist. I can look at a blaster and say "I'm not buying that because I don't see myself using it in a war". I think it's funny how Hasbro have opted to use the Speedswarm as a base for the Powerbelle. Because that is a heavy blaster, and "girly" and "heavy" are two things that aren't associated together.

Walmart exclusives usually become Big W exclusives in Australia, I guess we'll find out won't we?
