Elite Suction Dart 12 & 30 pack release date?

We've all seen the Elite Suction darts that Gavin Fuzzy found on the Toys R Us Japan website. Not they've popped up on Entertainmentearth.com.

Firstly here is a pic to refresh your memory...

Now here is a screen shot of the Entertainmentearth.com listing for it...

The price in this listing is US$6.99 and that is for the 12 pack, description goes:

Designed especially for Nerf N-Strike Elite blasters, these darts fly far! The Nerf N-Strike Elite Universal Suction Dart 12-Pack brings you a dozen blue foam projectiles for shooting at windows, mirrors, and other flat surfaces - but not at people or pets, because that would be wrong. Add some ammo to your arsenal with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Universal Suction Dart 12-Pack!

And here is a screen shot of the ad for the 30 pack...

30 of these will set you back US$10.99. Description goes:

Designed especially for Nerf N-Strike Elite blasters, these darts fly far! The Nerf N-Strike Elite Universal Suction Dart 30-Pack brings you a big batch of blue foam projectiles for shooting at windows, mirrors, and other flat surfaces - but not at people or pets, because that would be wrong. Add some ammo to your arsenal with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Universal Suction Dart 30-Pack!

(yeah, the descriptions are pretty much the same)

The release date is slated for January 2014, on shelf date shouldn't be too far away from that, maybe even sooner. The Toys R Us Japan website had the release date as March 2014 but that might be the:
a) official release date
or
b) Japan release date.

I'm not a fan of the sucker darts but I know a lot of people are. I'm a fan of aerodynamics and Elites Streamliners just have it better.

The listing states that these darts were designed for used in all Elite blasters (so that would include clips/mags), how they actually perform in a clip/mag (we all now it's actually a mag but Hasbro call them clips) remains to be seen. With a smaller contact area on the inside of the clip (for the head), one would expect it to perform just as well as Elite Stremliners due to the reduced friction. I guess we'll find out for sure in January.

Even though I don't like sucker darts, I'll probably get a 12 pack just to see how they go in a clip... what about you?
