Zombie Strike & Rebelle app games

We've seen the ads on the boxes for a while now but haven't been able to find them, but, (via the Hasbro Arcade app) the Zombie Strike and Rebelle games are now available for iOS and Android.

This is not like the augmented reality apps of the past. This one has you defending the base from Zombies. You're barricaded and have three sides to defend, it's your last stand, you will die, it's just a matter of how many zombies you're going to take with you! That actually sounds kinda cool.

So far there are three weapons for you to use. You start with the Sidestrike with infinite ammo. During play, you can unlock (by shooting boxes) the Crossfire Crossbow and the Sledgefire.

With the Sidestrike, normal zombies are taken down with one shot.

The Sledgefire is the high-powered weapon, this will take out the berserker zombies with one shot while the Sidestrike takes takes three or four.

The Crossfire is the long range weapon, the darts will shoot straight from this one while the Sidestrike needs to be angled to get longer ranges. Berserker zombies will be taken down with one to two shots from this one but it is harder to find.

The upgrade weapons have limited ammo too, so, use them wisely.

Welcome to Anytown USA (I think) there are thee sides that you need to defend and you can alternate between them by tapping on the left or right arrows on the sides of the screen. When a wall is being attacked the arrows will glow red. The wall for all three sides is the same but the scenery is different.

There are two types of zombies that I've encountered so far. The regular variety and the berserker zombies (the big ones). There are two skins (colours) for each type of zombie and the game uses only two wireframes for them, one for berserker and one for the normies.

When the zombies break through a wall, the game is over. There is a brief cut scene using in game graphics like this.

Then there is a menu like this.

The Rebelle app is much less interesting. There is a Heart Breaker Bow, and you shoot bubbles with it. If you have a green dart, you need to shoot green bubbles and so forth. Not much thought went into this.

The Rebelle one is a waste of developer's time if you ask me, but the Zombiestrike one is good for killing a few minutes while you wait for the dentist.
